For patients and families

Clear information. Informed conversations.

Start with your treating team

If you are exploring histotripsy, discuss it with the clinicians who know your diagnosis and care plan. They can help place new information in the context of your individual situation.

Questions to bring to a consultation

What evidence is relevant to my situation? What are the potential risks and uncertainties? What established alternatives are available? Is there a suitable clinical study? How would any referral, follow-up and payment arrangements work?

Research and routine care

Participation in a clinical study is different from receiving an established clinical service. Ask about the purpose of the study, eligibility, consent, follow-up and who is responsible for your care.

How NAHPA can help

We provide general information and encourage informed dialogue about access. We cannot assess a case, recommend an individual treatment or receive medical records. Please do not send diagnoses, scan images or other sensitive health information through our contact form.
