Questions & answers
A starting point for patients, professionals and collaborators.
What is NAHPA?
NAHPA stands for Nordic Alliance for Histotripsy & Patient Access. It is an independent non-profit association focused on collaboration, education and patient access.
Does NAHPA provide treatment?
No. NAHPA is an information and collaboration initiative. We do not operate a clinic, assess eligibility, provide referrals or make individual treatment recommendations.
Is histotripsy suitable for every patient?
No general answer can establish individual suitability. A qualified clinical team needs to assess the relevant evidence, diagnosis, treatment options and risks.
Is histotripsy available in my country?
Availability and permitted use depend on national requirements and individual healthcare institutions. This website does not provide a verified directory of Nordic treatment providers. Ask your treating team about current options.
Can I send my medical records?
Please do not send medical records, scan images, diagnoses or other sensitive health information. The contact form is only for general enquiries.
How can my organisation get involved?
Use the contact form to introduce your organisation and area of interest. We welcome dialogue with healthcare professionals, hospitals, researchers, patient organisations and foundations.
Is NAHPA affiliated with a device manufacturer?
NAHPA is presented as an independent association. References and links to external resources do not imply affiliation with, endorsement by, or endorsement of a manufacturer.
Where can I learn more?
Our resources page provides links to primary scientific and regulatory sources. Read them alongside their limitations and discuss individual questions with your clinical team.
